Phil Aimé, (pronounced ah ME) is the Senior National Director of Automotive Advertising and Motorsports for Spectrum Reach, the advertising arm of Charter Communications, the nation’s 4th largest cable company. With Charter Media active in 45 markets spread over 21 states, Phil is a travel warrior; providing in-the-field sales training, developing creative and closing major deals. Charter Media’s sales associates are kept “in-the know” regarding the latest tactics and auto trends through Phil’s interactions with national auto industry vendors. Through innovative client programs and by introducing new technologies to the business, Phil has raised Charter’s automotive sales over 100% in 7 years. Revenues are projected at $60 million in 2014.
One of the many sales tactics that Phil utilizes is the incorporation of motorsports, NASCAR, IndyCar, Funny Car and Pro Modifieds, to enhance bottom-line sales. As the head of Charter Media’s 11-year racing program, Phil has been able to provide his race team partners with contemporary media assets, on-site services and media discounts that provide measurable and high impact value to their sponsors. In 2013, the Motorsports Program generated over $23 million in revenue for Charter Media.
Phil earned his BA in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Southern California. He worked as a sales executive and marketing strategist for over twelve years in broadcast television at NBC and FOX affiliates, eight years in automotive advertising and marketing at the #7 Ford dealership in the nation, and two years for a national automotive ad agency, billing over $1 million each month with East Coast auto dealers.
