Tom Thomas is an executive with 30+ years of experience building organizations that deliver analytic, digital marketing, and ERP solutions for the automotive, CPG, hospitality, and public utilities industries. He’s currently the head of data strategy, analytics, and artificial intelligence at FordDirect. His team’s mission is to maximize FordDirect’s unique data position in the automotive industry by providing analytic solutions that measure and drive the cross-channel and cross-tier performance of the digital ecosystem for Ford Dealers and Lincoln Retailers.
Previously, Tom led the global marketing intelligence practice at Organic Inc., ran an implementation division at Sprint Nextel for machine-to-machine mobile solutions, and was a consulting principal at Scient Corp., Price Waterhouse, and Oracle. Over the years, Tom has been a contributor to FastCompany, AdWeek, and Forbes.com; a corporate advisor to the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative; and currently serves on OneMagnify and Data Robot’s Generative AI Councils. He recently co-authored Automated Cluster Generation and Labelling of Peer Groups for Marketing Reporting for the journal of Applied Marketing Analytics and is a frequent industry speaker at venues including IQPC’s Data Analytics Leaders Week, Salesforce’s Dreamforce, Datorama’s Limitless, Domopalooza, A2AI and the 2024 NADA Live Stage.
Tom bleeds both Hoosier and Wolverine with a CIS degree from Indiana University and a Ross MBA from the University of Michigan. Go Blue!
